The Trinamul Congress, led by Abhishek Banerjee is set to culminate its preparation for the Brigade Rally with a spectacular display at the Brigade Grounds. Earlier this evening, Trinamul’s strategist Abhishek Banerjee, meticulously inspected the venues armed with a map, ensuring everything from stage to seating arrangements. Having previously visited the Brigade grounds just 48 hours ago, witnessing only the skeletal framework, Abhishek was pleased to see the rapid transformation that had taken place. Cut outs and decorations adorned the venue, reflecting the party’s symbol. Saturday, 4 pm, was slated for Abhishek’s grand appearance, where he was surrounded by student leaders and youth activists. Key figures such as Kolkata’s councillor Baishanor Chattopadhyay, Abhishek’s uncle and chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s brother, Swapan Banerjee and minister Aroop Biswas, were present by Abhishek’s side.

Sunday’s Janagarjan rally promises a unique experience with Abhishek and Mamata walking down the long ramp, interacting closely with the crowd. Abhishek, after a brief rehearsal with a cordless microphone, addressed the supporters, declaring, “Joi Bangla! Tomorrow (Sunday), we will be together.” The Brigade grounds are adorned with massive ‘LED display boards, often referred to as video walls consisting of three walls displaying slogans such as “People’s Roar, Opposition’s Departure – Trinamul will achieve justice.”

Nearly 1,500 loudspeakers have been strategically placed, ensuring the entire grounds resonate with the Trinamul anthem.

This grand assembly comes after Abhishek announced the Brigade gathering on 10 March.

Abhishek, who visited all the locations in the past three days, concluded his inspection at Howrah on Saturday, ensuring arrangements for accommodation and food for the arriving workers. Addressing the voluntary workers, he emphasized the importance of their role in making the event a success.
