This initiative, curated by the global education nonprofit Room to Read, aims to promote gender equality and literacy in marginalized communities, believing that educated women can be the driving force for positive change in the world.
The heart of ‘She Creates Change’ lies in a six-episode short film series that tells the stories of six girls from various low-income communities across the globe. These girls face a myriad of challenges unique to their backgrounds but learn to tap into their inner strength and advocate for themselves, equipped with vital life skills. The series, blending animation with live-action documentary, delves into crucial themes like climate justice, financial literacy, food insecurity, child marriage, discrimination, menstruation, and sexual harassment.

Joining Prajakta Koli and Freida Pinto in this endeavor are several other prominent actors and advocates from around the world, including Charithra Chandran, Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Amita Suman, Amrita Acharia, and Quyen Ngo.
