Fire breaks out in empty coach at Patel Nagar railway station

According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) Director Atul Garg, ”a call was received at 1332/33 hours regarding a fire in a train coach at the Patel Nagar railway station and five fire tenders were rushed to the site”.

A fire broke out at an empty coach of a passenger train at the Patel Nagar railway station on Tuesday.

According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) Director Atul Garg, ”a call was received at 1332/33 hours regarding a fire in a train coach at the Patel Nagar railway station and five fire tenders were rushed to the site”.

He said the fire was brought under control at 1425 hrs.

“Only three coaches of the Sirsa Express train were in standing position at the Patel Nagar railway station. Out of them, the fire was in only one coach and the same was detached after extinguishing the fire,” added Garg.

No injury was reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
