Abhishek congratulates bypoll winners
After the clean sweep of Trinamul Congress in the bypolls in Bengal, an elated Abhishek Banerjee, who is also the party’s national general secretary took to social media and wrote on X-handle about the victory.
The Special PMLA court of ED today rejected the anticipatory bail application of the Sandeshkhali Trinamul Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan and also refused to give any protection from any coercive act by the Enforcement Directorate.
Meanwhile, the ED again issued another summons asking to Shahjahan to depose before its CGO complex office at Salt Lake for the third time but sources said should the absconding leader from Sandeshkhali fail to appear before it for the third time, the central agency is likely to petition the court for issuing a non-bailable warrant against him or for issuing an order to call him a proclaimed offender.
