Epic clash at the box office! Brace yourself for the battle between Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ this Eid 2024. Sports drama vs buddy action – the stage is set!
Get ready for a cinematic showdown this Eid 2024 as Ajay Devgn’s much-anticipated period sports drama, Maidaan, is set to clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The battle for box office supremacy is on as both films gear up for a simultaneous release in April 2024.
Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios, Maidaan is a heartfelt tribute to the golden era of Indian football. Ajay Devgn steps into the shoes of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, often regarded as the founding father of Indian football. Rahim served as the coach and manager of the Indian football team from 1950 until his passing in 1963. The film not only promises a gripping narrative but also features a stellar cast, including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.
The journey of Maidaan has not been without its challenges. In 2020, the production faced setbacks when the film set had to be dismantled due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Adding to the hurdles, Cyclone Tauktae wreaked havoc on the Maidaan set in May 2021. Despite these obstacles, the team persevered, and now, the film is all set to hit the big screen this Eid.

This collaboration marks Tiger Shroff’s first venture alongside the versatile Akshay Kumar, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.
As the clash of these cinematic giants looms, moviegoers can expect an exhilarating experience at the theaters this Eid. While Maidaan brings the untold story of Indian football’s golden years to life, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan promises action-packed entertainment in breathtaking locations. The competition is fierce, and only time will tell which film emerges victorious at the box office. Stay tuned for the unveiling of Maidaan’s official teaser on January 24, and get ready for a cinematic feast this April.
