Union Minister Arjun Munda, with his entire panel of Sr. Vice-President (1), eight (8) Vice Presidents and seven (7) Joint Secretaries, Secretary-General (1), and Treasurer (1) was re-elected unopposed to the post of President of Archery Association of India for the period 2024-2028 in the General Council meeting of the AAI held at DDA Yamuna Sports Complex, Delhi on Friday,

Virendra Sachdeva, earlier the Treasurer of the Association,is the the new Honorary Secretary General while Dr Joris Paulose Ummacheril of Kerala has been elected as the new Hony. Treasurer..

Thirty-five (35) member State Archery Associations affiliated took part in the election process.

Justice Permod Kohli (Retd.), Former Chief Justice, Sikkim High Court, and Chairman of the Arbitration Commission of the Indian Olympic Association conducted the proceedings.

I am deeply honoured and grateful to all the member Associations for their overwhelming mandate and the confidence they have reposed in me by electing me again unopposed.’ said Arjun Munda after the results were announced.

‘Our journey together has been remarkable and I am committed to building on the progress we have made. There is still a lot to be done which I will certainly try to do in my next tenure. Together, we will explore new avenues of growth, support our archers, coaches and other stakeholders by providing world-class facilities and strive to win more and more medals and achievements at the highest level of competitions.’ he added.

Secretary General,Virendra Sachdeva assured that AAI will work as a joint family accommodating the views of all stakeholders.
He further said that AAI will shortly announce its various committees and sub-committees which will work closely for the development and upliftment of Archery in the country.
