The Odisha government on Thursday began providing free online National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) coaching to class 11 and 12 students in the state.

The government launched the scheme to provide supplementary online coaching to NEET/JEE aspirants pursuing their studies in government and non-government aided higher secondary schools for enhancement of their competitive ability.

The coaching is being provided in the virtual mode in institutions’ smart classrooms with interactive panels.
Earlier, the government had allowed the institutions to utilise available funds from the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) account or Higher Secondary School (HSS) development fund as per the existing finance department guidelines for the functioning of smart classrooms, officials added.
