Himachal Pradesh: Cabinet nod to Special Task Force to combat drug abuse
The Cabinet gave its nod to rename Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) as Dr Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration.

He said that the youth of Himachal Pradesh has an important contribution to the Army and it was a matter of pride for the bravehearts of this small hill state who have been decorated with four Paramveer Chakras while valiantly protecting their motherland from external invasions.

The Chief Minister said that it was the responsibility of all of us to provide proper assistance to the families of these soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country.
The state government is continuously making efforts for the rehabilitation and welfare of war victims and ex-servicemen, besides their families, he said.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu flagged off the first group of 22 "Children of the State" on Thursday, marking the start of a 13-day educational and recreational tour under the Sukh Aashray Yojana.
He directed the officers that it should be ensured that only genuine families appear in the BPL list and to formulate a new criteria in this regard.
