Devender Yadav slams AAP, BJP over law and order in Delhi
Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav on Thursday launched a scathing attack at the Centre and the AAP-led Delhi government, saying city residents are not safe even in their homes.
Ramlal Chouhan will contest against former BJP Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje from Jhalarapatan seat.
In a last-minute push, the Congress has fielded senior leader Shanti Dhariwal to take on BJP’s Prahalad Gunjal from Kota-North seat in the upcoming Rajasthan polls.
Dhariwal’s name was announced in the final list of 21 contestants released Sunday night, a party statement said.
According to party sources, Dhariwal, one of the senior-most cabinet ministers and loyalists of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, wanted to field his son this election but the party chose him over his influence in the Hadoti region. The Congress has pitted Dhariwal against BJP heavyweight Prahalad Gunjal.

Meanwhile, Ramlal Chouhan will contest against former chief minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje from Jhalarapatan seat.
Colonel Sona Ram Choudhary, who joined the Congress recently, has replaced state environment minister Hema Ram Choudhary from Gudha Malani seat in Barmer district, the statement said.
Another minister in the Gehlot cabinet, Zahida Khan will fight the polls from Kaman constituency, it said.
Meanwhile, the BJP also released the list of three candidates for the assembly polls. Giriraaj Malinga, who joined the saffron party after the Congress denied him ticket, has been fielded from Badi seat. Deepak Kadawasar was given the ticket from Barmer, and former BJP MLA Amraram Choudhary’s son Arun will fight from Pachpadra seat.
Monday is the last date of filing nomination papers in Rajasthan for the November 25 assembly election. Scrutiny of papers will be done on November 7 and withdrawal of papers will be on November 9. Results will be announced on December 3.
