The DBOCWWB offers financial assistance to the children of registered construction workers to ensure their safety, health, and welfare. Since 2020, a significant number of applications are pending verification. To expedite the disbursement of financial aid to these children, the Delhi labour minister has instructed to frame revised, worker-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Anand emphasised that the aid to the children of labourers should be easily accessible within a specific time, without any delay. To promote awareness about the Delhi government schemes, printed materials should be distributed at all construction sites.
Anand also directed development of a user-friendly App for the convenience of construction workers.
“The verification process should be streamlined to facilitate a hassle-free submission of application forms with all the required documents. Regular review meetings should be convened to assess the status of pending cases,” Anand said.
“The Kejriwal Government’s goal is to deliver a citizen-friendly administration, guaranteeing that the benefits of schemes and services are accessible to the most vulnerable members of society,” he said.
