Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that
former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is being tested by the Gods and the senior AAP leader will be out of jail soon.
It was stated by Kejriwal after inaugurating the Dr B R Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence at Rohini Sector 18.
Addressing the gathering at the event, Kejriwal said
at some point in life God tests every individual, and that this imprisonment on fake charges is nothing but a test of Manish Sisodia.
“Our Gods even took the test of Raja Satyawadi Harishchandra. He had a massive kingdom and all the wealth in the world, but the Gods snatched that away from him to test him. His son died and when his wife went to the cremation ground to cremate him, she did not even have money for the wood. So, even someone like a king was tested by the Gods. So, similarly Manish Sisodia is being tested by the Gods and I am certain that he will get 10 out of 10 in this test, and he will surely be out of jail soon,” Kejriwal said.
The Delhi Chief Minister said that a few days ago some students met him and said that they miss Manish Chacha very much and the children also said that they are aware that fake cases have been filed against him.
Some of the teachers of government schools also told the same to the Delhi CM.
Kejriwal read out a message from Manish Sisodia to the children of Delhi and said that their Manish Chacha wants the kids to only focus on their studies.
He added that although the senior AAP leader is held in jail, all he worries about is the studies and the future of the children of Delhi.
The CM concluded by asking the children if they prayed every morning. He urged them to pray for the well-being of Manish Sisodia in their morning prayers everyday and said that the former Education Minister of Delhi will come out of jail very soon.
On Friday, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi had further extended jailed former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for five more days till March 22 in connection with the now-scrapped excise policy case.
After the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested him on February 26, the ED also arrested Sisodia in the same case on March 9.
The ED had arrested the AAP leader after questioning him for eight hours inside the Tihar jail as part of its money laundering probe into the alleged irregularities in the 2021-22 excise policy of Delhi, officials said.
