The Chhattisgarh High Court rejected on Wednesday a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets.
A double bench of Justice Gautam Bhaduri and NK Chandravanshi rejected the PIL filed by Congress leader Vinod Tiwari terming it baseless and politically motivated.
The High Court said that allegations were not duly supported by documents and evidence and the Court proceedings were misused.

The petition was filed on the basis of baseless documents and mere estimates. “Prima facie there is no need for investigation in this case by any official body”, the court observed.
