EC suspends 7 policemen over charges of rigging UP bypolls
The Election Commission on Wednesday suspended seven policemen over complaints of rigging of Uttar Pradesh bypolls.
The chief minister had a detailed review of the development work demands raised by the citizens related to urban local bodies on the Nagar Darshan portal.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday ordered suspension of two civic officers with immediate effect following complaints of negligence in work assigned to them.
Presiding over a review meeting of Nagar Darshan Portal held on Tuesday, Khattar issued an immediate suspension order for Gaurav Gulia, junior engineer of Municipal Corporation Sonipat and Lalit Goel, secretary, Municipal Committee, Julana, because of the laxity shown in the work assigned to them.
During the meeting, the chief minister had a detailed review of the development work demands raised by the citizens related to urban local bodies on the Nagar Darshan portal. During this, both officers were guilty of showing laxity in the execution of their responsibilities.

“Providing timely facilities to the common man as well as ensuring that all development works are done within the stipulated time frame is the utmost priority of the state government. Any kind of negligence by any officers and employees will not be tolerated at any level. It is the moral responsibility of government officers and employees to discharge their duties honestly,” Khattar said.
