Uttar Pradesh Energy Minister AK Sharma said on Friday that significant progress has been made in the state’s energy sector under the Yogi government. During the UPGIS, the state got investments totaling Rs 7 lakh crore in the energy sector alone, and the state’s energy industry has enormous potential.
AK Sharma, who arrived as the chief guest, congratulated all the investors while addressing the Sustainable Development through Renewable Energy session that was held at the Vashishtha hanger in Vrindavan Yojana on the first day of the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit.
While extending a warm welcome to all business owners engaged in the energy sector, he added, “I call upon them to be partners in the development path of the state. The entire journey of human development is linked to the development of energy.”
When discussing potential energy sources and renewable energy, he stated that as our requirements grow, so does our energy usage. The investment that came through the UP Global Investors Summit and the success of the industries to be established also depend on the availability of energy.
Sharma also said that there are huge challenges before the whole world regarding energy. Additionally, it is a very broad sector, in which there are immense possibilities to work. Minister AK Sharma also apprised the investors about the Yogi government’s plans to reduce carbon emissions, including battery manufacturing, solar energy, and wind energy.
Referring to the new energy policy of the state government, he also assured the investors investing in the state’s energy sector that the government will take care of their needs and facilities. On this occasion, officials of the State and Government of India along with several entrepreneurs also presented their views on new energy sources.
