Prof. Dr. ML Swaranakar, Emeritus Chairperson, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, said the private sector has a significant contribution to the availability of super specialty medical services across the country. With this in view, plans should be made keeping in mind that the operation of the private hospitals should be uninterrupted, Dr Swarankar said.

“It becomes the responsibility of the governments to solve their problems. A policy paper will also be prepared in the conference to solve the financial problems of the hospitals,” he said.

With more than 10,000 representatives from various states of the country, the AHPI is working in the direction of the recommendations of the policies laid down by the government, Dr. Ashok Khandaka and Dr. Vikas Chandra Swaranakar said.
