UP spends Rs 40,000 crore on welfare schemes in 6 yrs
The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a range of welfare schemes aimed at uplifting every section of society, including the poor, deprived, women, and the elderly.
All of the guests including Chief Minister Yogi received flower showers from the sky during the parade.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday unfurled the national flag at his official residence here on the occasion of 74th Republic Day.
He urged the citizens of the state to discharge their duties and responsibilities honestly and take part in creating a new Uttar Pradesh.
In his address, the CM said: “In the past 75 years, India has advanced significantly. This festival provides us with an opportunity to reflect and meditate on this journey.”

“There is an appeal to the people of the entire state that they should discharge their duties honestly and help in taking the schemes of the government to the people of the state.”
The Chief Minister pointed out that the country’s greatest challenge is to eradicate perverted social ills such as casteism, communalism, linguistic differences, regionalism and all other kinds of divisions among people.
The CM continued by saying that today the whole world is looking towards the state with optimistic eyes. “Now we have to work against corruption on the same lines as the law and order has been established.”

Earlier, the Chief Minister also went to the Republic Day parade, where numerous tableaux offered a glimpse of the culture and diversity of Uttar Pradesh. The parade program was started by Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister by unfurling the flag. This was followed by the presentation of the national anthem.
Along with the bravery displayed by the Indian Armed Forces, the parade also displayed the courage of the paramilitary groups and the contingents of the UP Police. Schoolchildren and sportspersons also took part in the parade alongside them. There were also tableaux of various departments.
All of the guests including Chief Minister Yogi received flower showers from the sky during the parade. On this occasion, folk dances from Rajasthan, Punjab, Manipur, and many other states were also performed.
In addition, a number of cultural programmes with the themes of ‘Swarnim Bharat,’ ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ and ‘Sashakt Bharat’ were also presented.
Through the presentation of film songs based on patriotism, the students presented a picture of the bravery and valour of the armed forces as well as their high spirits even in adverse circumstances.
The tableaux grabbed attention with its glimpses of state government’s initiatives like Mission Shakti, Green Corridor, Ram Rajyam, Ayushman Bharat, and Namami Gange, Smart Class, Coarse grains and GIS. The program also ended with the presentation of the national anthem.
Some kids arrived to greet CM Yogi on stage. These children, who showed up in a variety of costumes, were likewise quite eager to meet the CM. Children came dressed as UP police and some had tricolour turbans on.
The CM interacted with these children and listened to their views very carefully. Along with this, he was also seen explaining the importance of the parade to the children.
