The Union home minister, who could not meet them on his day-long visit to Jammu and Kashmir as he had to cancel his visit to Rajouri due to an inclement weather, assured the victims’ family members that the government won’t tolerate these terrorist attacks.

Union Home Minister, Amit Shah spoke to the families of the seven victims of terrorist attacks of Dangri in Rajouri on phone since he could not meet them on his day-long visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

Shah, who cancelled his visit to Rajouri because of an inclement weather, assured the victims’ family members that the Government won’t tolerate these terrorist attacks.

The Union Home Minister talked on phone with Saroj Bala, whose two sons, Deepak and Prince, were killed in the attack. She urged Shah to arm the villagers with automatic weapons to counter such attacks in future.

She said that Shah assured her that the Village Defence Committee would be strengthened to counter these terrorists. He also talked to other kin of the victims.

The Union Home Minister also visited the Government Medical College, where those injured in the terrorists attacks, were undergoing treatment. He met all those, who sustained injury in the attacks.

Seven persons were killed in the attacks on 1 January and the subsequent bomb explosion on 2 January.

On his arrival at the Jammu Airport, the Union Minister was received by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and senior officials. Then he left for the Raj Bhawan, where he reviewed the overall law and order situation Jammu and Kashmir with top brass of Army, Police, BSF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, central and state intelligence agencies.
