Abhishek Banerjee garlanded the statue of Swamiji at his ancestral house. A programme was held in the office of Udbodhan, where Swami Nityamuktanandaji said despite progress in India the poverty could not be removed nor the poorest of the poor could not be given education as desired by Swamiji.
He said Swamiji’s man making character building education is the need of the hour. A youth conference was held at Swamiji’s ancestral house on the National Youth Day. Swami Jnanalokanandaji, secretary of the centre spoke along with the youth speakers. Jnanlokanandaji said the youth should take up social service along with their academic courses to develop total personality. A programme on classical music was held at the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture to showrespect to Swamiji who was an accomplished classical vocalist. A programme was held at Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission too.
