Death toll in the terror attack in Dangri village of Rajouri increased to seven with one more civilian succumbing to his injuries on Sunday in the Government Medical College hospital here. The deceased identified as Prince was undergoing treatment of bullet wounds here after being shifted from Rajouri.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha had visited the injured persons on Saturday and directed the doctors to provide them with every possible treatment.

Six civilians, including two minor children, were killed and several others injured in the terror attack. Four persons were gunned down by terrorists on the evening of January 1 when two terrorists barged into three houses in Dangri and after checking identity cards of inmates resorted to indiscriminate firing at them.
The next morning two minor siblings were killed when an IED planted in the house by terrorists exploded. The incident has triggered widespread anger against the district police and administration, who people claim, failed to perform the defined SOP of sanitizing the three houses after the terror attack.
An IED was also detected planted in another house presumably to cause more loss of lives when top police and security forces officers reached these houses after the terror attack.
Army, CRPF, intelligence agencies and J&K Police are making persistent efforts to track down the terrorists involved in the massacre at Dangri.
Additional CRPF deployment has been done in the district to prevent further strikes by the terrorists who have not yet been traced. The Home Ministry has sent additional 18 companies of the CRPF to J&K amid reports of terrorists planning attacks around the Republic Day.
According to reports, four women are among 18 suspects being questioned in connection with the terror attack at Dangri.
Police have announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone providing credible information about the whereabouts of these terrorists. The NIA had collected samples of the IED blast from the village.
