The illegal pruning of 42 trees in the compound of Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan situated in Najafgarh, Delhi, appears to have not gone well with the forest department of Delhi.
Taking the matter seriously, the Deputy Conservator of Forest Officer, West Division has imposed a fine of Rs 8,40,000 on the director of the said Ayurvedic Hospital.
A written order has been issued on December 26, by the Deputy Conservator of Forest Officer, West Division regarding the imposition of fine.
According to a Dorest Department source, the order has been issued in the reference to the hearing conducted on January 27, 2021 for the offence of illegal pruning of 42 trees at Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan on the complaint of one Praveen Dagar.
It is being said that during the hearing, Dr Arun Gupta and Dr Subash Sahu from Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan attended the hearing, who admitted to the pruning of 42 trees without the permission of Forest Department and submitted the compounding affidavit.
In view of the conclusion drawn during the hearing, it has been directed to the Director of the Ayurvedic Hospital to submit the fine of Rs. 8,40,000/- within one week of issuance of the order. The amount includes a fine of Rs 20,000/- per tree for pruning.
