Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is prepared to begin 3nm chip production at its Fab 18, and Apple would be the first to get the 3nm processors order done, according to DigiTimes.
Apple appears to be on schedule to introduce an M2 Pro chip based on 3nm and intends to use its M2 Pro processor in the forthcoming MacBook 14 and 16, Mac Studio, and Mac mini. In the future, TSMC’s improved 3nm production process is likely to provide the foundation for A17 Bionic and the M3 processor.
Instead of the 5nm technique utilised for the M2 and M1 Pro, the M2 Pro will be constructed using a 3nm technology. Contrary to the M1 Pro, which has two less efficient cores, it is stated to contain four efficiency cores and eight performance cores.
