On Monday, India’s one of the biggest dairy brands, Mother Dairy, publicised that it will raise the price of milk by Rs 2 per litre, starting from Tuesday.
The price of milk from Mother Dairy has jumped for the fifth time this year. Previous price increases were noted in the months of March, August, October, and November, along with other major dairy players like, Amul.
Full-cream milk will now cost Rs 66 per litre, while toned milk will cost Rs 53 per litre. Double-toned milk now costs Rs. 47 per litre, up from Rs. 45 per litre.

The cost of cow milk and other types of milk has not increased by the dairy company. The increased prices will be applicable from December 27.
