India’s 1st, world’s 5th night safari to debut in Lucknow by Dec 2026: Yogi
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday, said that UP will gift the country its first night safari by December 2026.
On getting information about the incident, animal lovers reached the spot and informed the police. The police took out the bodies of the puppies with the help of local villagers and sent them for postmortem.
In a case of cruelty to animals, a woman allegedly threw nine puppies into a pond in Basai village of the Bisauli area of the Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
All the puppies died by drowning in the water in the extremely cold water. A FIR has been registered against the accused woman and her husband.

On the complaint of an animal lover Vibhor Sharma, a case has been registered against the woman and her husband under Section 1860 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Section 429 of the IPC.
According to police sources, Anita, wife of Suryakant alias Bhure, a resident of Basai village of Bisauli Kotwali area, threw nine puppies born a day earlier in the village this morning.
SP Rural Siddharth Verma said that police was investigating the case.
