The then station in-charge, Pawan Singh, SI Pal Singh, Sarnam Singh, Rajendra Prasad and jeep driver Mohkam Singh, have been sentenced to life imprisonment by a special CBI court. The court has imposed a fine of Rs 38,000 each on all the five convicts.

As per the crime history, on August 18, 2006, Rajaram was picked up by police at 3 pm while he was on his way to his relative’ place and was killed in the dead of night in an ‘encounter’ by the police team in the forest area of Sunhara village.

The CBI filed a chargesheet on June 22,2009 and trial in the case started on December 4, 2015 where the CBI produced 202 witnesses.
