The new “Purchase Requests” function that Google has added will give family managers the choice to accept or reject children’s purchases.
According to the internet giant’s blog post published on Tuesday, Purchase Requests will make it simpler for families to securely buy both premium apps and in-app purchases.
Children under 13 will now be able to send Purchase requests to family members, in case there is an absence of a family Payment method setup

Users get complete control over the app to evaluate the request and important information about the application or in-app purchase on their own device, and decide if the purchase should be completed or not.
Stored payment methods including Google play gift cards can be used by the user to complete the purchase request.
Real-time notifications for these purchase requests will be sent to family managers, but they can also view them in a queue for subsequent decision-making.
Additionally, all transactions concluded through Purchase Requests will be accessible in the Order History, just like with the family payment method.
