Parliament’s Winter session to commence from Nov 25
The Winter Session of the Parliament is set to commence from November 25 and will go on till December 20, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced here on Tuesday.
Six-time MLA from Jawali, Chander Kumar, has been appointed as the pro-tem speaker, who will administer oath to the newly elected MLAs.
The 3-day long winter session of the 14th Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held at the Tapovan in Dharamshala on 22 December where the newly elected MLAs would take oath of office and secrecy.
Himachal Pradesh Governor, Rajender Vishwanath Arlekar, in a notification issued here on Friday stated that the winter session will be held from 22 December till 24 December.
According to sources, the cabinet expansion will take place only after the end of the winter session.
While six-time MLA from Jawali, Chander Kumar, has been appointed as the pro-tem speaker, who will administer oath to the newly elected MLAs. This would be followed by the election of the new Assembly Speaker and the Deputy speaker.
On the third day, the Governor will address the Assembly and there would be no business this time as the session has been called immediately after the elections.
