After the shocking incident of acid attack on a 17-year-old school going girl by two boys in the Mohan Garden area of Dwarka District, it came to fore that the acid used in the commission of crime was procured from the online shopping website FlipKart by the accused. Considering the seriousness of the open sale of acid online, the police have served the shopping portal with a legal notice.

Meanwhile, after the disclosure by the accused of purchasing the Nitric Acid used in the crime from Flipkart, the company has now removed the product from its website. This was done, after the company came under heavy criticism for selling acids openly, despite a ban on the item.

On the other hand, a day after the incident, the treatment of the victim girl is being carried out in the hospital and doctors are monitoring the situation regularly.
