Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation (DRIIV), an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, have signed an umbrella Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly implement various Sustainability and Smart Cities initiatives.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Shri Subhash Chander Yadav (IFS), Additional CEO (Urban Environment), GMDA and Ms. Shipra Misra, MD & CEO, DRIIV.

Speaking on the flagship partnership, Ms Shipra Misra, MD & CEO of DRIIV, said “We are aligning the industry stakeholders to join hands in their respective capacities with workable solutions for the ongoing environmental challenges such as waste management, water security, move to sustainable energy etc. We will now carry forward the momentum and demonstrate the power of public-private partnership where determination meets guided action.”
DRIIV is trying to create an ecosystem by encouraging synergies between academic institutions, national and state research laboratories, and other stakeholders such as relevant ministries, industry partners, start-ups, MSMEs, state governments, philanthropic foundations, and international organisations in order to solve problems of national importance and bring innovations to market.
