All 16.91 crore job cards of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) will be linked with Aadhaar by December.
With this, the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj said real-time monitoring will be possible from work done to the wages received by the labourer by linking the job card with Aadhaar with transparency in the work system.
The ministry is working on a war footing. Till now, 85 per cent of card seeding work has been completed. Under MNREGA, the government guarantees 100 days of work in rural areas and 198.89 crore man-days of work have been done so far this year. In this, these workers are getting a minimum wage of Rs 216 for this year.
Not only this, the accounts of all the workers will also be verified with the Aadhaar number.
According to the information received from the senior official of the ministry, 85 percent of job card seeding work has been done. Of this, 67 percent of verification i.e. matching card and Aadhaar number has been completed.
Ministry’s plan is to link the amount received by the labourers which goes into their account with Aadhaar, for this 40 percent of the accounts have been verified with Aadhaar numbers. In such a situation, the ministry will be able to verify and pay MGNREGA wages to all workers by December 31 through Aadhaar. The intention of the ministry is to ensure that the verified labourers get employment and transparent payment.
The ministry has been continuously working to fix accountability for MNREGA. This is the biggest scheme in the country, in which there are 16.91 job cards in 7,156 blocks of 736 districts and 2,70135-gram panchayats of the country, in this 10.19 active cards ie workers who are doing regular wages, in this way a total of 31.31 There are workers, out of which 15.13 workers are active.
It has created 691 properties so far. 2. 0 9 crore individual assets have been created. A maximum of 89,11,379 properties have been created in Uttar Pradesh, 81,36,879 in West Bengal, 7,401,004 properties in Andhra Pradesh and a total of 6,562,719 crore properties have been created in Madhya Pradesh. In order to remove the fraud, the Ministry is currently marking the attendance of workers with the help of the National Mobile Monitoring System-NMS with photos at the right time.
