AAP govt anti-labor, says Vijender Gupta
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of being anti-labor by denying financial aid to construction workers.
Her statement came two days after the chief minister had told party leaders that the BJP was even trying to lure his daughter and they should fight against it without any apprehensions.
TRS MLC and Chief Minister K Chandraekhar Rao’s daughter, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, on Friday, claimed that the BJP had approached her with a proposal to follow the “Shinde model” in Telangana but she rejected it and was ready to face the consequences.

“There were proposals brought up to me by friends of BJP, friendly organisations of BJP asking me to join the party and they proposed a model called Shinde model. I said Telangana people do not cheat Telangana (own) people, Telangana people do not betray their own parties and their own leaders. We will become leaders on our own strength, not by backdoor. I have rejected their proposal very politely,” said Kavitha who didn’t want to reveal names of those who approached her.

The Shinde model refers to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde who had split the Shiv Sena with the help of the BJP.
“What they will do after that is irrelevant. Whatever they do we will face it,” she added.
Kavitha’s name has already come up in the Delhi liquor policy case, but she has so far dismissed all allegations against her. “Till date I did not get a summon. Officially there is nothing on me. Unofficially, there is a scam every day,” she said.
She lamented that everyday Opposition leaders are being harassed with the help of ED, CBI and IT. She alleged that after BJP came to power some 25,000 cases have been lodged against Opposition leaders while there was nothing on BJP leaders.
“Have they washed themselves with milk or were they born in the laps of Maa Ganga,” wondered the TRS MLC who said her father will remain her sole leader.
She was furious with her arch rival, the BJP MP from Nizamabad Arvind Dharmapuri, who yesterday had suggested that annoyed by her father, Kavitha had called up Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and expressed her desire to join his party. He also had made certain objectionable insinuations about her and KCR.
An angry Kavitha retorted: “I usually refrain from making personal comments. I am warning you that if you continue to speak rubbish about my family and me I will hit you with chappals at the Nizamabad Chowrasta.”
In the last election Kavitha had lost to Dharmapuri, but today she warned him that she will hound him wherever he contests from and defeat him. Dharmapuri alleged that TRS workers today vandalised his house, leaving his mother terrified.
