More than 1,709 camps have been organised under the Mukhyamantri Dai Didi Clinic – a scheme that aims to provide free medical facilities to women and adolescent girls through mobile medical clinics with all women staff.

Nearly 1.28 lakh women and adolescent girls residing in the slums of Raipur, Bilaspur and Bhilai municipal corporation areas have got free treatment facilities near their homes under this scheme.

The scheme is being run by the Urban Administration and Development Department of the state government. Free-of-cost treatment facilities for various diseases are provided to needy women and adolescent girls through well-equipped mobile medical units with an all-women staff.

Lab tests of about 22,831 women have been conducted and free-of-cost medicines have been distributed to over 1.22 lakh women through the dedicated mobile medical units. The scheme has been proven beneficial for the women indulged in labour work who can’t visit hospitals due to time and money constraints.
