Happy Birthday Imtiaz Ali: Imtiaz Ali, one of Bollywood’s greatest writer-directors, turned 51 on June 16. In his career in the entertainment industry, Ali has been the man behind several memorable films and performances which continue to be part of pop culture and the collective cultural memory of the country.

Since his debut in 2005, he has penned some of the most iconic characters in mainstream Bollywood.  From winning Best Dialogue for Jab We Met and being nominated for Best Director multiple times, the director has shown his versatility in the field.  Big-budget films like Tamasha, Highway, Rockstar, and Jab Harry Met Sejal have received humongous love from the audience.

Jab We met:

Imtiaz’s debut film as a filmmaker was released in 2007. The film that launched Kareena Kapoor Khan’s career is regarded as one of the greatest romantic comedies this country has ever seen. Even after a couple of decades, the film Jab We Met remains a fan favorite.

The film that made Ranbir Kapoor a real-life ‘Rockstar’ provided Indian cinema with one of the finest music albums of all time. Romance, sorrow, wrath, and heartbreak combined with Imtiaz Ali’s vision is the perfect combination for a blockbuster film, and that’s exactly what Rockstar is all about! Janardhan, often known as JJ or Jordan, was one of Imtiaz’s most complicated characters.

The character became famous for his suffering and was written as someone who suffers because of his vocation as a musician. Fans relate his name with feelings of grief and desire.

Love Aaj Kal:

Love Aaj Kal is one of Imtiaz Ali’s most beautiful films, released in 2009. The plot of the film is captivating and will not be quickly forgotten. The film demonstrates how time may alter circumstances but not love, which is a pure feeling at its heart. While Jai prioritizes his business and lifestyle over love and relationships, Veer is willing to give up his life for the one he genuinely loves.

Love Aaj Kal, which was released in 2009, was about relationships and their difficulties in a practical world. Although the sequel, which was published in 2020, failed to connect with the audience, the original installment, featuring Saif and Deepika, is still adored by everybody. With their sizzling chemistry, both actors light up the screen.
