The government today asked Indian nationals in Ukraine to consider leaving the country temporarily in view of mounting tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

In an advisory, the Indian Embassy in Kiev said that in view of the current situation, Indian nationals in Ukraine, particularly students whose stay was not considered essential, might consider leaving temporarily. Indian nationals were also advised to avoid all non-essential travel to and within Ukraine.
