Hundreds of priests from temples of South Delhi on Wednesday staged a demonstration, led by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri outside chief minister Arvind Kejriwal residence demanding priests’ salaries.

The demonstrators demanded that when Kejriwal can give a monthly salary of Rs sixteen thousand to eighteen thousand to imams and maulvis, the same should be given to priests who perform pujas.

There is a provision in our constitution that none will get any reservation on the basis of religion but Kejriwal is indulging in vote bank politics, alleged South Delhi MP Bidhuri who led the demonstration.

Kejriwal is trying to dupe the people of Punjab, Goa, and Uttarakhand with tall promises for garnering votes, he alleged. Kejriwal’s discriminatory functioning shows his political greed clearly, Bidhuri further alleged.
