In such contagious times, when a virus has dashed hopes of countless dreamers longing for unique cultural encounters at cosmopolitan campuses in far-off lands, EducationUSA has come forward as a redeemer for the restless.

EducationUSA, a member of the U.S. Department of State’s network of international student advising centres around the world will host over 100 U.S. Universities in their virtual fairs on August 27 and September 3 for undergraduate and high school students in India.

The fairs, providing an online platform for students and their parents to interact with over 100+ accredited U.S. universities and colleges, will be held from 5.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. (IST) on both days, for undergraduates and high school students respectively. The participation is devoid of any registration fee.

The participating U.S. higher education institutions represent a wide geographic area in the United States and offer a range of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The fair attendees can learn about various programs and admission criteria at this virtual fair from the comfort of their homes.

The discussions with U.S. universities and EducationUSA advisers will help students make informed choices about studying in the U.S., funding and scholarships, practical training options, and Covid19 precautionary measures at U.S. universities and colleges.

Students will also have the opportunity to get information about student visas through the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs, the official source on visas.

“In these extraordinary times across the world, EducationUSA India is making sure students have easy access to information about U.S. higher education through our many online resources such as our upcoming virtual fair. We invite students and parents to make use of this opportunity to move closer to their dreams of studying in the United States” says Adam Grotsky, executive director, United States-India Educational Foundation.

It may be noted that this development comes in the wake of India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu recently saying that strengthening education and technology remains the central pillar of India and US partnership. Singh said this while interacting with the heads of some of the top American universities.
