J&K CM Omar Abdullah lays stress on Himachal Pradesh-type laws to protect agricultural land
The Chief Minister noted that Himachal Pradesh has adopted a strict policy in this regard and stressed the adoption of a similar policy in J&K.

A medium-intensity earthquake hit Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on Sunday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
As per the reports, the earthquake was measured 3.4 magnitude on the Richter Scale at 11:55 am.

“The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded at the latitude of 32.3 degrees north and longitude of 76.2 degrees east and depth of 5 kilometres in Kangra district,” the weather department said.

Till now, there were no reports of loss of life or damage to property.
Earlier on Sunday, Union Territory of Ladakh was hit by a medium intensity earthquake measuring 5.3.

The quake occurred at 10.54 am at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
