After “Muqabla” and “Garmi” created a massive response on social media, the makers of Street Dancer 3D released a new track from the album titled “Illegal Weapon 2.0”. Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan shared the song respectively on their Instagram handles.
While Shraddha wrote, “The battle is ON. #IllegalWeapon2.0 tomorrow. Sahej, the time has come @varundvn #StreetDancer3d,” Varun shared the song on Instagram with a caption that read, “Verified
#ILLEGALWEAPON2.0 out tomorrow battle on the streets @shraddhakapoor bring it on. Street dancer 3D.”
In the Remo D’Souza directorial, Shraddha plays the character of Inayat and Varun Dhawan play Sahej.

A face-off sequence to the vocals of Jasmine Sandlas and Garry Sandhu, “Illegal Weapon 2.0” is a remixed track by Tanishk Bagchi.
In an interaction with Mid-Day, filmmaker Remo D’Souza had said that in Street Dancer 3D, Shraddha and Varun belong to different dance groups which compete with each other.
“We realized it could be a perfect song to introduce Shraddha’s character. We have retained the music and hook line, but have changed the lyrics. We have pumped up the groove and added a street mix vibe to the track,” Remo told the publication.
