The announcement came a day after it was reported that Sharif’s platelets have increased from 35,000 to 51,000.
Ex Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s health condition continued to remain critical after his platelets dropped again as the doctors tried to reduce the steroids doses being offered to him, according to his personal physician on Saturday.
Dr Adnan Khan took to Tweeter, saying “Former PM Nawaz Sharif remains critical. The treating doctors tried to reduce the steroids dose being given to him but unfortunately resulted in a drop in platelet count again…”.

The announcement came a day after it was reported that Sharif’s platelets have increased from 35,000 to 51,000, Dawn news said.
Sharif was shifted to the hospital from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore’s custody on October 21 after his personal physician Khan raised an alarm saying the former premier’s condition was serious as his platelets had dropped to a critically low level.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Islamabad High Court granted bail to Sharif, suspending his seven-year sentence in the Al-Azizia corruption reference on medical ground.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary-General Ahsan Iqbal had told Dawn news that the first and foremost effort of the doctors was to stabilise Nawaz Sharif’s condition.
Nawaz Sharif, who had been shifted from the Kot Lakhpat Jail where he is serving seven-year imprisonment in the Al-Azizia corruption case to the NAB’s Lahore building following his arrest in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, hospitalised on Monday night after a decline in his platelet count.
