Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force will be carrying out the Joint Military Exercise “Shinyuu Maitri” with the Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) from 17 to 23 October, 2019 at Air Force Station Arjan Singh, Panagarh.
The Eastern Air Command has planned fighter operations from six airfields in its area of operations namely Kolkata, Dimapur, Imphal, Guwahati, Pasighat and Andal. The exercise will be in two phases from 16 to19 October and 29 October to 01 November 2019. The Eastern Command spokesperson informed that the exercise will be part of capability build-up and operational training from dispersed locations in case of hostilities.
The exercise will familiarize the Indian Air Force crew with the procedure of flying at these busy airfields and coordinate with civilian counterparts. It will also help familiarising the civilian functionaries at these airfields in the conduct of military ops. The SU-30 MKI and Hawk 132 aircraft will be taking part in this exercise.

Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force will be carrying out the Joint Military Exercise “Shinyuu Maitri” with the Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) from 17 to 23 October, 2019 at Air Force Station Arjan Singh, Panagarh. C-130 J aircraft of the Special Operations Squadron of IAF and C-130 H of Tactical Airlift Squadron of JASDF will participate in the exercise. The focus of the exercise will be to undertake joint mobility and tactical interoperability among the two forces.
