Many film stars to attend Mahakumbh

Lucknow’s Rashi Verma, a Class 10 student of Delhi Public School will witness the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on the Moon surface along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at ISRO control room in Bengaluru on September 7.
She has been selected for the event on the basis of an online quiz. Two students from every state are being selected for the event.

Centre’s Principal Scientific Adviser K. Vijay Raghavan wrote to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Anoop Pandey to conduct a quiz for the students. The winners of the quiz will witness Chandrayaan-2 landing, next month. Principal Secretary, Secondary Education, Aradhana Shukla had instructed officials to circulate the information on WhatsApp groups at schools in the state.

Children from class 8-12 were eligible to participate.
In the rural areas, developmental officers, block education officers and Panchayati Raj officers were also roped in to spread awareness about the quiz.

Rashi, who wants to become an IAS office, is extremely excited at being selected. She said, “Given a chance I would like to talk to the Prime Minister.”
According to Rashi, questions related to space and science were asked in the group.
The name of the other student who has qualified from Uttar Pradesh is not yet known.
