Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor start filming ‘RC 16’ in Mysore
'RC 16' is a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana, set in Uttarandhra. The film stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, with Jagapathi Babu joining the cast in a key role.
The first look posters of Gunjan Saxena biopic are out. Starring Janhvi Kapoor as Gunjan Saxena, India’s first Air Force woman officer who went to war, the film is titled Gunjan Saxena :The Kargil Girl.
Janhvi Kapoor shared the first look posters on her official Instagram handle. In the first poster, the Dhadak fame actor is seen in a pullover laughing and looking dreamily as she holds a paper plane in her hand. A vast skyline stretches in the background and a plane-in-flight is seen in the background. A tagline ” Ladkiyan Pilot Nahin Banti”( Girls don’t become pilots) reads the poster.
In the second poster, Janhvi as Gunjan is seen in uniform walking an aisle aligned with all-men pilots clapping as she makes an entry.
In the third, poster Gunjan Saxena is seen hugging Pankaj Tripathi who essays the role of her father in the film. The poster bears a tagline that reads, “Meri beti ki udaan koi nahi rok sakta”( No one stop my daughter’s rise).
Gunjan Saxena was the first Indian woman combat aviator to fly into a war zone during the Kargil War, twenty years ago.
Producer, Karan Johar took to his official Twitter handle to announce the release date of the much-anticipated film.
He wrote, “She was told ladkiyan pilot nahin banti (girls don’t become pilots), but she stood her ground & wanted to fly! Gunjan Saxena – #TheKargilGirl releasing on 13th March, 2020.”

Sharing two posters of the film, he further added, “With unabashed courage and bravery, she made her domain in a man’s world.”
The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Singh, Angad Bedi and Manav Vij.
Directed by Sharan Sharma and presented by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is slated to release on 13 March 2020.
