A sixth eye
On 20 November 2024, Japan hosted a gathering of senior enlisted members from the Five Eyes intelligence partnership in Tokyo.
Talking about the series so far, Sri Lanka won the first match of the two-match Test series by 6 wickets and currently lead the series 1-0.
Sri Lanka scored 144 runs at the loss of six wickets against New Zealand before rain forced the play to be suspended on Day 2 of the second Test at the P Sara Oval Stadium in Colombo.

On Friday, none of the batsmen apart from Karunaratne could dig in their heels to erect the Lankan spine. The hosts lost another two wickets and got reduced to 93 for 4 as Trent Boult claimed the wickets of Angelo Mathews (2) and Kusal Perera (0).

Karunaratne’s gritty knock of 65 too came to an end off to a Tim Southee delivery. Soon, Southee also sent Niroshan Dickwella back to the pavilion on a duck.
