Table tennis: Sun Yingsha, Lin Shidong crowned at WTT Champions Macao
China's Sun Yingsha and Lin Shidong got their championship trophies on Sunday at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Macao 2024.

At least 28 people were killed and dozens reported missing due to typhoon Lekima that triggered landfall in China’s Zhejiang province, according to authorities on Sunday.
The typhoon damaged more than 173,000 hectares of crops and 34,000 homes in Zhejiang, provincial authorities said in estimating the economic losses at 14.57 billion yuan ($2 billion), Xinhua news reported.

Lekima, the ninth typhoon of this year, landed around 1.45 am Saturday in Zhejiang, bringing heavy rainstorms and triggering flash floods.
The National Meteorological Centre warned on Sunday that it is expected to make a second landing along the coastline in Shandong, bringing strong wind and heavy downpours.
Shandong air traffic management bureau said the typhoon will greatly affect traffic in airports of the area. A total of 47 flights have been adjusted.
