A new character poster of Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho is out. A big surprise to fans, this poster features Chunky Panday, actor and father of Ananya Panday, best known for his comic roles as a character in the film.

Producers of Saaho, UV Creations shared the new poster of Panday on their official social media handle. In the poster of warm brown, red and orange overtones, Chunky can be seen smoking a cigar and looking ahead with a steady gaze. He is dressed in a black high-neck and a brown coat with pocket square, complimented with a wrist-watch. In the background, two side-kicks of Panday are seen in shades, but never completely revealed. A fire is also seen burning in the background. The poster also carries a tagline which reads, “Rise from the Ashes” suggesting the phoenix metaphor.

Chunky will essay the role of Devraj, a negative character. “With his ominous looks & steadfast gaze; here comes the new character poster of #Devraj ft @ChunkyThePandayto give you some major chills!#Saaho releasing worldwide on 30th August!” UV Creations wrote on Twitter.

The Housefull franchise’s fame actor also shared his new look on social media. Alongwith the character poster, he wrote, “The Devil Himself#SaahoFromAug30th.”

The makers recently launched the first look of Tamil actor Arun Vijay as Vishwank and Neil Nitin Mukesh as the prime antagonist named Jai. Several other posters of the film featuring the lead pair, Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor have also gone viral.

In an interview to Indian Express, the actor shared some news about his character from Sujeeth’s directorial. “They (Makers of Saaho) are not publicising me much, but I will be deadlier in it than I was in Begum Jaan. After that I have Housefull 4 releasing on Diwali. So, I would say the wait has been worth it. I am also doing a Marathi movie. It is directed by Sameer Patil, the director who made Poshter Boyz (2014). This is being produced by Riteish Deshmukh’s production house. It is called Bhangaar Wala. Then I am doing Prasthanam with Sanjay Dutt and that should be coming in September sometime. So, this year is going to be filled with film releases for me,” he said.

Saaho also features Mandira Bedi, Vennela Kishore, Murli Sharma, Evelyn Sharma and Mahesh Manjrekar among others. The film is slated to release on 30 August 2019.
