Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday said that the Indian Constitution is the guide to the whole world and "we are proud of our Constitution".
In an unprecedented move, the Centre has scrapped Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which gives autonomous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Centre is set to move the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019, The Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Second Amendment) Bill 2019 and the resolution revoking Article 370 from the Valley in the Lok Sabha today.
The bill will be proposed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the lower house of the Parliament.
This comes a day after the resolution to revoke Article 370 — that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir — was passed in the Rajya Sabha on Monday with over two-thirds majority.

In an unprecedented move, the Centre has scrapped Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which gives autonomous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The government has also planned bifurcation of the state of into two Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir with an Assembly and Ladakh without an Assembly.
Union territory status has been a long-standing demand of the people of Ladakh and they had organised lengthy agitations in support of this during the regime of Rajiv Gandhi.
The demand of Jammu had been to remove Article 370 and Article 35A that snatch the state’s citizenship of the women marrying outside J&K.
President Ram Nath Kovind has already followed procedure and issued a gazette notification and gave his approval for the revocation of Article 370 – which is a “temporary and transient” provision in the Constitution of India giving special privileges to Jammu and Kashmir.
In view of anticipated violence in Jammu and Kashmir after the Centre’s announcement on repealing Article 370, nearly 8,000 paramilitary troops were on Monday airlifted from Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Assam and other parts of the country to the Valley.
Former chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah have been placed under house arrest since Monday.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba are in Jammu and Kashmir to oversee the security measures.
