As counting of votes is under way for the 17th Lok Sabha elections, with BJP leading, celebrities across the country are congratulating PM Narendra Modi on social media.
Superstar Rajinikanth posted from his official Twitter account: “Respected dear @narendramodi ji hearty congratulations … You made it !!! God bless.” The actor’s last tweet from his official Twitter account was on April 21, and after almost a month, the actor’s celebratory message poured in.
TV shows producer Ekta Kapoor also shared a message on social media, congratulating the PM.
” INDIA has given its verdict ! Congrats to INDIA’s BIGGEST UNITER ( in votes n in belief)and LEADER @narendramodi ! Ppl love you !! Wat a win ! Welcome back”
Adding further that her father Jeetendra was the happiest with the election 2019 results, she said, “The honourable @narendramodi proves once again that ppl love him !
Kapoor and her son Ravie had also been rooting for his “aunt”, BJP leader Smriti Irani, who has been leading in Amethi against Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
In a post Ekta shared this morning, she and Ravie can be seen watching the results live at their home. Ekta wrote, “All eyes on #amethi we r rooting for our aunt”.
Ajay Devgn on a rather serious note tweeted, “The country knows what is right for them and they have made their choice.@narendramodi”
TV show Naagin actor Arjun Bijlani tweeted, “Lo bhai phir acche din aa Gaye. Congratulations @narendramodi sir. Next 5 years India will and has to rock.Your leadership will make that happen. Jai hind.”
Legendary singer Asha Bhosle also congratulated the PM. She wrote on her official handle, “The Indian electorate has voted wisely. Congratulations to Hon. PM Modi, NDA & all BJP party cadres who have worked tirelessly to take our country into a Golden Age that is long overdue. Jai Hind 🙏🏼.”
Riteish Deshmukh also congratulated the PM. He wrote on Twitter, “India 🇮🇳 has decided- Democracy needs to be celebrated. Many Congratulations to our Hon Prime Minister @narendramodi ji on this huge verdict.”
Meanwhile, actor and politician R Sarath Kumar wrote, “Congratulations Modi Ji. All your ideas & initiatives to make India socially, economically advanced are well acknowledged across the nation.The overwhelming results show India has placed steadfast trust in you once again 1(2).@narendramodi @PMOIndia #TNElections #AISMK”
Vivek Oberoi shared a picture from HD Kumaraswamy’s swearing in ceremony in Bengaluru, showing united opposition leaders with a caption on top that says, ” Chanuk Gaye?”
He also wrote a message on Twitter.
Meanwhile Hema Malini attributed the “stupendous win” to PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah and also gave credit to the hard work put in by karyakartas.
