The Lok Sabha elections 2019 phase 4 will be held tomorrow, 29 April, in 71 constituencies in 9 states.
The number of constituencies does not include Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency in Jammu & Kashmir, which is the only Lok Sabha seat where polling will be held in three phases. Anantnag went to polls in the third phase, will go to polls on 29 April and will again witness polling in the fifth phase on 6 May.
There are a total of 945 candidates contesting in the Lok Sabha elections 2019 phase 4, excluding contenders in Anantnag.

A total of 12.79 crore voters will be casting their votes in this phase.
Sons of two sitting Chief Ministers are in the fray in this phase.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s son Nakul is contesting from Chhindwara. The Lok Sabha seat is the bastion of the Nath family since 1980 and it was one of the two seats that the BJP failed to win in Madhya Pradesh in 2014.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son is contesting from Jodhpur constituency. He is up against sitting MP and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat of the BJP.
Seats to watch out for include Asansol, Begusarai and Mumbai North.
Unnao – MP Sakshi Maharaj while Congress has fielded former MP Annu Tandon. At the same time, the SP-BSP ‘Mahagathbandhan’ is hoping to capitalise on a potentially consolidated vote share there.
Kannauj – Dimple Yadav of SP+BSP+RLD versus Subrat Pathak of BJP
Etawah – Ramashankar Katheriya of BJP versus Ashok Dohar of Congress versus
The surprise development is being seen as an effort by SP to recover its electoral base after its disappointing performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
