It all began with Alia posting a message on Twitter, “See you Tuesday @tigerjackieshroff!💥 #HookUpSong”.

Fans picked up the hint and began retweeting the message along with a photo shared by the actor.

Dharma Productions, which is producing the film, also shared a look from the song starring Tiger Shroff; later sharing messages to create more excitement among the audience.

“Make way for the return of the student in style! Stay tuned!♥️ @aliaa08 #HookUpSong ” read one.

Karan Johar, who is producing SOTY2, also shared a picture of Alia with the caption, “THE RETURN OF THE STUDENT! Things are about to heat up!🔥 @aliaa08 #HookUpSong”

Tiger Shroff, who plays the lead in the film, is caught up in a typical love triangle involving two young women played by Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

He shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat between himself and Bhatt.
The chat apart from other things read, “… And the burning question-how do I know it’s you.” And Alia’s answer, ” True. IG@aliaabhatt”.

Choreographed by Farah Khan, the HookUp song has been shot in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio. In an interaction with the media earlier, director Punit Malhotra had said the song was a “trump card” and that the team wanted to save it for the end.

Student of the Year 2 is slated to release this Mothers Day, on 10 May.
