Air India buying 100 more Airbus planes
Air India on Monday confirmed it has placed an order to purchase 100 more Airbus aircraft, comprising 10 widebody A350 and 90 narrowbody A320 aircraft, including A321neo.

Air India has waived all charges for rescheduling and cancellation of tickets to and from Colombo in the wake of the Sri Lanka terror attacks that has killed more than 200 people, including three Indians. No rescheduling and cancellation charges will have to be paid for Colombo flight tickets till April 24.
The airline has also requested passengers to report well in advance to clear security at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.

“In view of the situation in Sri Lanka, Air India has waived all charges for rescheduling or cancellation of bookings on its flights to and from Colombo for travel till April 24, 2019,” the carrier said in a tweet.

Air India operates two daily flights to Colombo from the national capital.
Over 200 people have died and more than 450 injured in a series of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka on Sunday. The first of the six blasts took place in the morning in three five-star hotels in the heart of Colombo and in a church in Colombo, Negombo, and Batticaloa.
In the afternoon, there was another blast in a guesthouse in Colombo, which killed two persons, and a housing complex in the capital city leaving three policemen dead.
Sri Lanka has declared a nationwide curfew and placed curbs on social media to check spread of misinformation.
Among those dead are also 27 foreigners, including the three Indians and tourists from Turkey, US, Britain, Netherlands, Portugal and China.
Quoting official reports from Colombo, Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj identified the Indians as Lakshmi, Narayan Chandrashekhar and Ramesh.
According to reports, a total of seven suspects have arrested but no further details are available at the moment.
