President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on the occasions of various religious festivals on Sunday.

In his message to the nation on Ram Navami, the President said that “Lord Rama’s life inspires us to strive for nobility in thought, words and deeds”.

“Greetings and good wishes to fellow citizens on Ram Navami. Lord Rama’s life is a message in itself and inspires us to strive for nobility in thought, words and deeds. May this occasion motivate us to serve our nation and build fraternity in society,” he tweeted.
Wishing for peace, joy and prosperity for all, the President greeted those celebrating the gamut of other festivals.
“Greetings to fellow citizens on Vaisakhi, Vishu, Mesadi, Rongali Bihu, Naba Barsha, Vaisakhadi, Puthandu Pirappu. These festivals reflect our country’s shared heritage amid diversity and plural traditions. May the occasion bring joy, peace and prosperity to all,” he said in a tweet.

In his greetings, the PM pointed out that the festivals mark the celebration of unity in diversity.
